Temple Emek Shalom and the Havurah Synagogue join in inviting young families to the upcoming PJ Library events. PJ Library is a Jewish literacy organization providing young children up to eight years of age with free Jewish books each month. There will be two events each month this year facilitated by Cyrise Beatty Schachter, local storytellers, song leaders, artists and rabbis. A Sukkot party is planned for Sunday, October 4 at 2:00 PM with songs, stories, crafts, games and a special rain dance in the Havurah garden at 185 N Mountain Ave. in Ashland. Free and open to all.
A Tot Shabbat with a light, organic meal is planned for Friday, October 16 at 5:00 PM. Please call 541-488-7716 for more info and to RSVP for the Tot Shabbat so that ample food will be available.
