MAGIC WORD IN THE TORAH: KADOSH. Join us on Sunday, March 22, from 2:00-3:30 for text study and discussion of the word “kadosh”, sometimes translated as “holy”. What does the word really mean—in the Torah, in later Jewish writings, and for us today? Melissa Carpenter teaches this monthly class on “magic” words in the Torah at P’nai Or, 9750 SW Terwilliger Blvd., Portland. No Hebrew knowledge is necessary, drop-ins are welcome. Free to P’nai Or members, $10 for non-members. Melissa is a maggid and P’nai Or leader, and a writes a weekly blog post with her own Torah translation and commentary at www.mtorah.com. Questions? Ask Melissa Carpenter at melissatz@comcast.net. (Save the date for the April 12 class on the word “kedem”.) – See more at: http://www.ojlife.com/content/magic-word-torah-kadosh#sthash.pB5TPBD3.dpuf
