Join us on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 2:00-3:30 for text study and discussion of the word “keruvim”, sometimes translated as “cherubs”. What does the word really mean—in the Torah, in later Jewish writings, and for us today?
Melissa Carpenter teaches a monthly class on “magic” words in the Torah at P’nai Or, 9750 SW Terwilliger Blvd., Portland. No Hebrew knowledge is necessary, drop-ins are welcome. The class is free to P’nai Or members, $10 for non-members. Melissa is a maggid and a Torah translator and commentator posting weekly at www.mtorah.com. Questions? E-mail melissatz@comcast.net.
