Join us to hear the story of and have a discussion with Ashager Araro—a woman breaking down barriers in Israel. Araro was born on an Ethiopian roadside, while her parents escaped to Israel through Operation Solomon. She grew up in central Israel and served as a Lieutenant in the prestigious Paratroopers Brigade. Following her military service, Araro pursued a career in diplomacy and social advocacy, visiting countries around the world to engage audiences as a proud black, Jewish, Israeli woman. Active on social media, she uses a strong presence to speak on crucial topics and to shed light on the diversity of the Jewish people. Ashager has also founded Battae, a center for Ethiopian Israeli heritage, which enables Israelis and members of the global Jewish community to explore the unique story and contributions of Ethiopian Jews in Israel.
