The Leonard and Lois Schnitzer Charitable Supporting Foundation of OJCF Is Now Accepting Applications

The Oregon Jewish Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the Leonard and Lois Schnitzer Charitable Supporting Foundation of OJCF is currently accepting grant proposals for its annual grant cycle. This fund prioritizes Jewish projects in Oregon and Southwest Washington that address community building, education, arts, culture, health and/or social welfare.

The annual deadline for proposals is Aug. 31. But this year, since Aug. 31 falls on a Saturday, the deadline is the following business day, Tuesday, Sept. 3. Evaluation reports for grants awarded in the previous year are also due on this deadline whether or not the grantee is applying for a new grant.

In 2018, this program granted nearly $64,500, including more than 75% to Jewish organizations. Twenty proposals were funded with grants ranging from $1,000 to $9,000. The average grant size was $3,200.

The guidelines and application are available at https://ojcf.org/grants-and-scholarships/receive-a-grant/.
