Do we still believe in miracles after October 7?

In the early days following October 7, I prayed for a miraculous hostage recovery a la the 1976 Entebbe Raid. How naive I was.
I have always believed in miracles when it comes to Israel. Having spoken to survivors from the kibbutzim, the Nova festival as well as the brave civilians and soldiers who saved many lives during these horrific attacks,  many miracles did happen. Though I do believe we will win this war, it won’t be a miracle. And like all wars, it will be at a heartbreaking cost.
But the real MIRACLE is that after our people suffered a barbaric massacre, we did not become barbarians ourselves. We gathered our strength and came together with love and humanity and that is our Miracle.
I’m very proud to be a Jew.
