Cedar Sinai Park and the residents of Rose Schnitzer Manor invite you and your elderly loved ones to a vitally important and educational program on the nature of memory. Medical expert Dr. Scott Losk of the Memory Health Center will help us understand what’s normal when it comes to memory loss and what’s not. Along the way he may allay your fears. Dr. Losk is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist who has maintained a clinical and research practice with Summit Research Network in Portland, OR since 1990. He has conducted over 50 clinical trials in Alzheimer’s disease since 1990 and has done research on all of the current FDA-approved drugs for Alzheimer’s disease. He was involved in the very earliest research that led to the first-ever treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. 9:00 – 11:00 am: Pack boxes
10:30 – 11:30 am: Send off drivers to deliver boxes

Art Gallery Exhibit: The Passover Series
Shlomo Katz, Polish/Israeli, 1937 – 1992
Born in Lodz, Poland, Shlomo Katz immigrated to Palestine when he was eight years old in 1945. Katz developed an original technique of oil painting on a gilded metal surface. The result recalls medieval icons on the one hand, and oriental miniatures on the other. These ancient resources combine to form a totally modern image with a light humorous touch and a noble character. It took a lot of experimentation to translate these images to the graphic art form. The metallic inks of the golden tones and the importance of absolute registration presented just a part of the challenge, but the Katz serigraphs became the ultimate in modern printmaking.

CNS Family Shabbat Experience at Camp Solomon Schechter
Friday-Sunday, April 24-26, 2020
Families with children ages 0-3rd grade join together for a fantastic weekend at Camp Solomon Schechter. Together we’ll celebrate Shabbat with family friendly services, activities and games. Adults will have time to relax as well. Located on the beautiful grounds of Camp Solomon Schechter in Olympia, WA we’ll enjoy the natural surroundings throughout Shabbat.
Pricing includes: shared cabin, Friday dinner, three meals and two snacks on Saturday and a Sunday brunch.
