“Shopping at the ‘Me’ Store: Using Teshuva, Tefilah, and Tzedakah to Guide Us Into Right Relationship with our ‘Stuff'” with Britta Dedrick. This class will involve 3 or 4 learning exercises that Britta has created, as well as time for reflection and discussion. The exercises are inspired by the work of Marie Kondo (creator of the KonMari Method of organizing) and draw from the High Holy Days liturgy.
“Inscribing Our Books of Life” with Harriet Cooke, who has been facilitating the P’nai Or writing group since 2008. Writing workshop with prompts from Elul Torah portions Shoftim and Ki Teitze. This workshop will give a synopsis of the Torah portions, facilitate a short meditation, then a timed free writing process to help us get clarity on the loose ends we need to tie up before moving forward with the New Year.
Learn to play the ancient Chinese game of MahJongg. MahJongg card provided.

Storytime with Rabbi Rose at Daedalus Books!!
What is freilach? It’s Yiddish for “happy.” Please bring your little ones and join Rabbi Josh Rose for story-time and snack in a little but mighty bookstore, Daedalus Books. Come for story-time, stay for a bit of schmoozing, have a freilach time!

Special Tot Shabbat style service lead by Rabbi Posen. Geared for ages 0-9. This will begin in the sanctuary with a Torah parade at 10am and then join the congregation for lunch following the main service.
