Classic Car Show @ SpringRidge at Charbonneau

Going back in time to the good ol’ days of drive-ins and cruisin’, SpringRidge at Charbonneau welcomes classic car enthusiasts from all around to stroll the community’s grounds to see a spectacular display of classic cars at their Classic Car Cruise-In. The annual event features a deejay spinning hits from the 50’s and yesteryear, encouraging residents and guests to show off their dancing skills. A delicious hot dog lunch is also planned along with refreshing beverages. Relive the fun of yesteryear during this complimentary event that involves the whole Charbonneau community!

Shomrei Teva Old Growth Tashlich Hike at Oxbow Park @ Oxbow State Park

Havurah Shalom – Tashlich at Willamette Park @ Willamette Park

We’ll begin at noon with a vegetarian (and kosher fish) potluck lunch, followed by a musical Tashlich service and walk to the river. (Last names A-J bring salads, appetizers, fruit and drinks, K-Z bring main dishes.) Dessert will be provided by Havurah back at the tables after the Tashlich ritual. A Tikkun Olam fair, sponsored by the Havurah Shalom Tikkun Olam committee, will feature table displays of projects that people can get involved with in the new year.

Co-leaders Cassandra Sagan and Jared Goodman will be joined by musicians Jacob Mandelsberg, Tanja Lux, Larry Reichman and Steven Sandberg-Lewis to lead us in an interactive and welcoming service for all ages.

Rabbi Hannah Laner is the new rabbi at P’ani Or at Portland. She has over 25 years of experience as rabbi and cantorial soloist, creating and leading services for High Holidays, Shabbat, and other holidays. She is a professional Jewish educator who infuses her teaching with a passionate love of Torah and tradition.

Yitzhak Husbands-Hankin is a composer, singer, cellist and guitarist. He served as a Hazzan and Rabbi for nearly forty years in the Jewish community of Eugene, Oregon, U.S.A. Music is at the very heart of his spiritual life and he seeks to connect with the transcendant realms of Spirit as well as the depths of the human heart through his music.
