Thomas, a young German baker, is having an affair with Oren, an Israeli married man who has frequent business visits in Berlin. When Oren suddenly vanishes from Thomas’ life, he decides to travel to Jerusalem seeking for answers regarding Oren’s disappearance. Under a fabricated identity, Thomas infiltrates into the life of Anat, his lover’s wife, who owns a small Café in downtown Jerusalem. Thomas starts to work for her and create German cakes and cookies that bring life into her Café. Soon, Thomas finds himself involved in Anat’s life in a way far beyond his anticipation, and to protect the truth he will stretch his lie to a point of no return.

Enjoy a summertime Shabbat in the Park with Havurah Shalom at Wallace Park! We’ll begin with a potluck picnic by gathering at 6:00 pm by the picnic tables, then singing the Kiddush and Motzi blessings at 6:30 before we eat. Our musical Kabbalat Shabbat service begins at 7:30. Be environmentally friendly by bringing your own plates and utensils. However, we’ll have backup disposable supplies available. All ages are welcome! RSVPs are welcome to help with planning but aren’t required.
From now through September, every Friday night (except 4th Friday) at Congregation Neveh Shalom, you can enjoy our beautiful NW summer evenings singing, praying and schmoozing outside on our upper plaza! If weather doesn’t allow us to be outside, we will meet in the Stampfer Chapel.
Members of any synagogue may attend without charge by calling our office at 626-255-8580. We will give them a special 4 digit code that will allow them when they go into ticket sales to obtain up to 2 tickets absolutely free of charge.
Join Congregation Neveh Shalom’s young families as we pick fresh berries on a fun farm outing! For families with children 5 and under.
