Siddur Basics – Sample Class @ Congregation Neveh Shalom

This is a free “Taste of” our Siddur Basics course. Join us to learn the Shabbat morning service. Each week we go through different parts of the service slow enough so that each class member can learn to recite the words. No more mumbling through services! Taught by Deb Freedberg. The actual course begins on Oct. 14 and meets weekly on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Course materials fee $50.

Trope: Learn to Leyn – Sample Class @ Congregation Neveh Shalom

This is a free “Taste of” our course – Trope: Learn to Leyn. This class is for those who want to learn to chant Torah and for those who want to improve their skills. We will learn the common trope patterns with an introduction to sentence structure, as well as the less common tropes. There will be time during each session for students to work on–and get help with–individual readings. Taught by Deb Freedberg. Prerequisite: Working knowledge of the Alef-Bet. The actual course begins on Oct. 14 and meets weekly on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Course materials fee $50.

Storytime with Rabbi Rose at Daedalus Books!!

What is freilach? It’s Yiddish for “happy.”  Please bring your little ones and join Rabbi Josh Rose for story-time and snack in a little but mighty bookstore, Daedalus Books.  Come for story-time, stay for a bit of schmoozing, have a freilach time!

All families are welcome to attend, there are only 20 spots so please let us know you are coming!
