The CBI Social Action Committee and Brotherhood are pleased to co-sponsor with Moms Demand Action Oregon a showing of Under the Gun, a movie that examines the events and people who have kept the gun debate fierce and the progress slow, even as gun deaths and mass shootings continue to increase. Through the lens of families impacted by the mass shootings in Newtown, Aurora, Isla Vista and Tucson, as well as those who experience daily gun violence in Chicago, the documentary looks at why politicians are finding it difficult to act and what is being done at the state and local levels. This event is free and open to the public.
BethTikvah Bend Men’s Group will meet at Larkspur Park next to the Bend Senior Center on Reed Market Road. The event will be Bocce Ball from 4-6 pm, followed by dinner at Pour House. RSVP to Joe Jezukewicz joe38jez@gmail.com

At this exclusive concert, one of Portland’s leading Jewish singer-songwriters, Beth Hamon, will split proceeds with the Oregon Food Bank to fight hunger in our community. Immerse yourself in Beth’s original songs of hope, love, justice and peace and participate in this musical expression of tikkun olam and tzedakah. Hear a sampling of Beth’s music @ www.beth-hamon-music.com.
