Free Krav Maga Classes
Come and try for free, Krav Maga, a practical form of self-defense. It was pioneered by the Israel Defense Forces from a combination of boxing, wrestling, aikido, judo, and karate. This introductory course, taught by an IDF veteran of the special forces, will focus on providing you with the three pillars of Krav Maga: technique, conditioning, and situational awareness.

Here’s what to wear and expect when you arrive:
- Open to ages 16 – 60, on the condition that you are able to withstand strenuous physical activity.
- Please arrive promptly and be dressed in gym shorts/long pants, a t-shirt, and running shoes/sneakers.
No necklaces, bracelets, or earrings. Watches should be removed before class. - Please bring a water bottle in order to stay hydrated!
Dance for Parkinson’s Oregon offers dance classes for people with Parkinson’s Disease and their care partners. Participants stretch and strengthen muscles, focusing on balance and rhythm through many styles of dance and music.

Israeli Dancing
Join us for a fun, introductory Israeli folk dance class. All levels are welcome. Nine-week class. Six people needed to run class.

Memoir Writing Workshop – Write Your Own Story Now!

Every life is unique, interesting and special, and everyone has a story to share. No writing experience is necessary to join fellow storytellers in writing your story. In this workshop, you will be helped to remember the events of your life and write your memories in a supportive, non-threatening environment with a professional writing coach.

Come study and discuss the Bible with Rabbi Isaak at Neveh Shalom.
This 18-week course is taught by members of The Oregon Board of Rabbis, representing a variety of Jewish affiliation. A carefully constructed curriculum includes Jewish history, life cycle events, holidays, ritual and daily practice, theology, study of Torah and contemporary Jewish America. While not a conversion class, most OBR members consider it a prerequisite for students beginning study for conversion. Classes 7-9 pm, Thursdays, at rotating Portland area synagogues. This next-step-up program from Kiddush Club allows parents and kids to move into the main sanctuary while still enjoying youth-oriented activity. Families meet in the main service (Stampfer Chapel or Main Sanctuary) and youth join their friends for a fun and active lesson on the Torah portion (parsha) of the week with adult leaders. As always, we end with our community kiddush lunch!
Torah Troop for 3rd-5th Graders
1st and 3rd Shabbat every month at 10:00am
Meet in the MAIN service (Stampfer Chapel or Main Sanctuary) for the beginning of the Torah service, and then come out with your friends for a fun and active lesson on the Torah portion (parsha) of the week. Return to the service to help lead Adon Olam, and join the community for lunch!
Continue the fun and warmth of Congregation Neveh Shalom’s Tot Shabbat with Kiddush Club. We sing, dance, hear a Torah story and more! 1st Shabbat of the month with Rabbi Eve Posen, 3rd Shabbat of the month with Gershon Liberman. Both followed by Kiddush lunch.

Join us in the Zidell Chapel at Congregation Neveh Shalom for Shabbat celebration for young families with children age newborn to five years old. A joyous Shabbat experience.
