Come study and discuss the Bible with Rabbi Isaak at Neveh Shalom.
This 18-week course is taught by members of The Oregon Board of Rabbis, representing a variety of Jewish affiliation. A carefully constructed curriculum includes Jewish history, life cycle events, holidays, ritual and daily practice, theology, study of Torah and contemporary Jewish America. While not a conversion class, most OBR members consider it a prerequisite for students beginning study for conversion. Classes 7-9 pm, Thursdays, at rotating Portland area synagogues. Sisterhood Latke & Vodka Party

Join Sisterhood for a pre-Chanukah celebration. We’ll have latkes to eat, vodka to sample, and we will learn about Chanukah celebrations in other cultures. All are welcome.

Join us for Bodies of Water, an award-winning program that introduces you to mikvah as a path to body positivity from a Jewish perspective. Framed along with other healthy practices like mindful eating and Jewish yoga, this experience is a very special way to explore how mikvah is relevant in a modern Jewish life. We will watch a demonstration immersion by someone in their bathing suit, explore different ceremonies for mikvah use, learn simple ways to bless our food, and get a taste of Jewish mindfulness meditation.
This program will be centered around our fantastic community mikvah, Rachel’s Well.
