Free Public Tours of the Oregon Holocaust Memorial @ Oregon Holocaust Memorial
Jul 28 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Please join OJMCHE for free public tours of the Oregon Holocaust Memorial.

While the Oregon Holocaust Memorial is open during all park hours, on the following summer Sundays of July 28, Aug 25, and Sept 22, knowledgeable OJMCHE docents will be on hand to give tours of the Memorial from 1-2pm. Many docents are Holocaust survivors and family members with personal stories to share.

The Memorial was dedicated in 2004 and, as the stewards, OJMCHE works to teach the lessons of the Holocaust, pay homage to those who lost their lives and provide hope that future generations will learn to honor the rights of all people. Each year hundreds of school children tour the Memorial with OJMCHE docents. To schedule a tour for your school or organization click call 503-226-3600.

The Oregon Holocaust Memorial is located in Washington Park at the intersection of SW Washington Way & Wright Avenue.

A half-hour talk on the history, mystical practice and examples of traditional and contemporary forms will be followed by Q&A, Shiviti gazing, time to create your own Shiviti art work and debriefing.

Comedy of Errors @ Torii Mor Winery
Aug 2 @ 7:00 pm – Aug 4 @ 6:00 pm
Comedy of Errors @ Torii Mor Winery

Experience Theatre Project presents William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors, with former CSP CEO David Fuks as Egeon. Friday and Saturday shows 7 pm; Sunday shows at 6 pm.

Free, but $10 donation suggested.

(The play will be in Dayton the previous weekend).

A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR Brenda Hubbard: Comedy of Errors is one of Shakespeare’s earliest plays and while not his most accomplished, is regularly enjoyed and produced. This is probably due to the fact that light hearted comedy has always served a function in the world. Full of charming and entertaining character types that were originally found in ancient Roman comedy and the Commedia Dell’Arte, Comedy of Errors has always been a crowd pleaser. From the crafty servants to the pompous ruler, the long suffering wife and her sister to the braggart soldier, to the romantic lovers to the lusty kitchen maid, to the quack doctor – the play makes great fun of these types of people in an improbable and light hearted way. We have capitalized on the Commedia origins in an attempt to render a physical and boisterous production full of contemporary references while remaining true to our love of Mr. Shakepeare’s words. I hope you find it the perfect outdoor summer entertainment!
