The Israeli American Council (IAC) has 16 regional offices across the USA, and now is coming to Portland!

We’re thrilled to invite you to join us on Thursday, May 10th at 7pm to hear more about these exciting news and be the first ones to partake in this great opportunity.

“The IAC mission is to build an engaged and united Israeli-American community that strengthens the Israeli and Jewish identity of our next generation, the American Jewish community, and the bond between the peoples of the United States and the state of Israel.”

Shoham Nicolet, the CEO and Co-Founder of the IAC will be there to share details about the organization that is active in tens of communities across the United States.

Together with IAC we will introduce Portland with programs for kids, and young professional, Hebrew language, and cultural enrichment programs, and more Jewish and Israeli events.

Join Congregation Kesser Israel for an inspirational Shabbat with world-renowned scholar, Rabbi Ahron Lopiansky.

The theme of the program is Echoes of Sinai.

Together we will explore the relevance of the ancient Torah.

Events on Friday night and Saturday.

Lunch and keynote on Saturday, April 12 at the MJCC 12:30-3 pm.

Lunch ticket includes complimentary access to Seudah Shlishit. Lunch @ MJCC: “I am G-d”: Approaching the First Command Through Life’s Challenges Belief in G-d is the foundation of Judaism. How can we approach this through difficulty?

Seudah Shlishit @ Kesser Israel: “No False Gods…?!” How can we maintain Jewish ideas today?

Rabbi Lopiansky is the Rosh Yeshiva of the Yeshiva of Greater Washington. He is the author of numerous scholarly works, in Hebrew and English.

Join the group if you are breastfeeding, formula feeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or supporting a breastfeeding parent. Get answers from Lara Greenberg, a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). Healthy snacks and activities for older siblings provided. Five people needed to run class.
