Marianne Williamson

A three-hour seminar, Love As A Spiritual Revolution

Feb. 11, 2016 at the Mountain Avenue Theatre in Ashland

Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed spiritual author and lecturer. Ms. Williamson has been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, Charlie Rose & Bill Maher. Six of her eleven published books have been New York Times Best Sellers. Four of these have been #1. The mega best seller, A Return to Love, is considered a must-read by people of all religions. A paragraph from that book is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of spiritual seekers.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Rabbi David Zaslow, spiritual leader of the Havurah Synagogue in Ashland that is sponsoring the seminar says, “In every generation there are many incredible teachers, but only a handful are true luminaries. Marianne is one of those brilliant lights who seems to have been deployed by the Divine to aid us in understanding our interconnectedness, and the underlying power of love that is the underpinning of the cosmos. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for people on all paths and in all religions to come together to learn and celebrate together. Ms. Williamson does not represent any one religion or spiritual path, yet she has proven herself repeatedly over the decades to be uniquely qualified to clear a path in the wilderness to help us find what all of us are seeking – the miracle of love.”

Marianne’s other books include The Law of Divine Compensation, The Age of Miracles, Everyday Grace, A Woman’s Worth, Illuminata, Healing the Soul of America, A Course in Weight Loss, The Gift of Change, and A Year of Miracles.

Marianne is a native of Houston, Texas. In 1989, she founded Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program that serves homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area. To date, Project Angel Food has served over 8 million meals. Marianne also co-founded the Peace Alliance. And she serves on the Board of Directors of the RESULTS organization, working to end the worst ravages of hunger and poverty throughout the world.

Advance tickets are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com or at the Music Coop, 268 E. Main St. in downtown Ashland. Premier seating in advance; $75, General Seating, $65. Tickets at the door: $80/$70. Feb 13 @ 11:15 pm – Feb 14 @ 1:15 am

DEMON

DIRECTOR: Marcin Wrona – POLAND

Things quickly get out of hand at a Polish wedding when the groom appears to have been possessed by a spirit from the past. Adapted from Piotr Rowicki’s 2008 stage play “Adherence,” Marcin Wrona’s final film is a ghost story that takes the Jewish myth of the dybbuk and commingles it with strong nods to Kubrick’s THE SHINING, including the use of a Penderecki score. “The thematics give DEMON meat, make it a great film, but it’s the filmmaking that makes DEMON a great movie to watch.” – Devin Faraci, Birth. Movies. Death. (94 mins.)
