Tu’B’Shevat Seder in Ashland

On Friday evening at 6 PM Cyrise Beatty Schachter will lead a community Tu’B’Shevat Potluck Seder, filled with music and storytelling by Rebbitzen and Maggidah, Devorah Zaslow at the Havurah Synagogue. The Seder is free to attend, and everyone is asked to bring a potluck veggie dish to share following the Seder, as well as fruit or nuts and wine/juice for the ritual Seder. Exploring Jewish Meditation Weekend: Tefilah and Meditation Workshop with Rabbi Yoel Glick

An evocative exploration of the silence between the notes and the words of the tefillah service.

Rabbi Yoel Glick, author of ‘Living the Life of Jewish Meditation: A Comprehensive Guide to Practice and Experience,’ will join Shir Tikvah to share his experience of meditation as a way of life.

Other Jewish communities who have had the opportunity to study with Rabbi Yoel have stated: “he inspires, he teaches the tradition and opens up new ways of knowing the world… you leave larger in spirit…”

Powerful Tools for Caregivers: Managing Stress

This presentation will highlight some of the tools from the six-week Powerful Tools for Caregivers program. This interactive workshop will identify signs and sources of stress, relaxation tools, stress reducers and how to create an action plan. The PTC program is an evidence-based education program designed to give family caregivers skills to practice self-care while caring for others.
